Why Choose Barwon Hay?

Handpicked Quality: Carefully grown, selected and hand packed to ensure only the finest hay makes it into every box, guaranteeing the best in quality and freshness.

No Chaff: Ever noticed other brands having very short, chopped up pieces of hay? Well, this is due to a process called chaffing, makes it quicker and easier to pack. Here at Barwon Hay, we put the extra effort into packing only the original product – Giving you long pieces of grass to feed – perfect for wearing down those ever-growing Rabbit teeth!

Freshness Guaranteed: We only pack small quantities at a time, this means it’s fresh when it lands at your door. Our hay does not sit around in warehouses for months at a time, which often leads to deterioration.

100% Australian Grown: All product is grown on our own farm, by us, near Geelong Victoria

Dry and moldy

The quality has gone way down since I started purchasing. The last box I received was yellow full a big chunk of it was loose seeds and it was full of mold. I reached out through email and have received no response in 3 weeks. My food obsessed bunny would not eat it and I had to purchase different hay. Absolutely unacceptable in general but especially for the price.

Fussy bunny loves Barwon hay

I recently ordered my first box of Oaten Hay for my bunny who tends to be a bit fussy about his hay. He only liked hay from a market stall in Melbourne.

Since ordering Barwon hay, he has been enjoying the quality it brings and if a fussy bunny enjoys it, then that just goes to show that Barwon Oaten Hay is amazing.

Thank you Barwon, and have already ordered more.

Usually consistent hay

I've previously purchased boxes and the hay has been amazing with little to no dust/hay crumbs. However this time there was a lot of dust/cumb parts that my bunny has a bit if a weepy eye (happens when he gets dust in his nose/sinus) .

Would still reccomend and will purchase again as he loves the hay and i dont think this is usual quality for Barwon Hay. Bit disappointed but hoping it will be better next time.

The oaten hay has been diminishing in quality over the last few months

The oaten hay has been diminishing in quality over the last few months.
Hay is dry and already dead, alot of it is covered in mold. I've had to throw out half of the box and my bun is eating half the amount of hay he normally would which is concerning.
Im going to give Barwon Hay one more shot but its currently not worth the cost and highly disappointed
