Feeding
Our Alfalfa Hay should be kept as a treat for Adult Bunnies, Rabbits and Guinea Pigs. High in calcium and protein, it can cause some health issues if adults are overfed Alfalfa Hay.
Alfalfa Hay can be fed more generously to Pregnant, Lactating or Young Bunnies, Rabbits or Guinea Pigs. The higher protein and calcium are an important addition to their diet during these times.
Permanent access to grass hays (Rye, Oaten or Timothy) is a must even when feeding Alfalfa Hay.
Storage
Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
